Photo mission with the CAF on April 5, 2013

Had an opportunity to fly on an Canadian Forces Airbus CC-150 Tanker during the March/April airspace patrols while it refuelled four CC-188 Hornet
fighters in the area south east of Iceland. My large aperture 28-70 did not give a wide enough view to get the whole aircraft while refuelling, but
afterwards we were treated to the Hornets formating on the wing of the tanker which gave us plenty of photo opportunities. After the second refuelling, two
of the fighters accompanied the tanker on the return flight to Keflavik, over and through clouds as can be seen until we got some awesome views
over the Reykjanes peninsula to the south of Keflavik. Thank you to all involved, the Coast Guard and all the CAF people taking part in this extremely
pleasant and fruitful mission for me at least.
