| 1. Probably taken at Keflavik during the winter of 1956 to 1957. This is also consistent with the HH tailcode. Note this airplane still has the HH tail code, but seems to be painted in the Seaplane grey overall scheme. This can be seen by comparing the outline of the roundel, which is insignia blue to the adjacent area which is a different color. On the Sea Blue airplanes this difference can't be seen.

during the 1957 deployment. I don't know which squadron replaced VP-16 in April
1957, but it might have been VP-5. Note that the VP-5 crew seems to have just wiped enough
snow away to be sure that they were getting into their own MC-12. After a lot of deliberation the BuNo of MC-12 is most likely 128372. That plane was seen in Blackbushe, England on the 4. June 1957 and the shape of the last digit on the lowest photo agrees with a 3.
