…because it was made by two very cool classes joined together through a European project called Socrates Lingua E. The project gives different countries the possibility to get to know each other better, look at each other’s traditions and culture and to see the differences and the similarities in the respective countries.

The two schools which are now involved in this project are Istituto Tecnico Statale "Elena di Savoia" in Bari, Italy, and Verzlunarskóli Íslands (The Commercial College of Iceland) in Reykjavik.

At the beginning of September ’99 the Icelandic students hosted the Italian students for two weeks. Five days after the Italians went home, the Icelandic students went to Bari. During the stay in the countries the two groups presented the brochures that they had worked on before they met. The contents of the two brochures is information about places in the Apulia region in Italy and the Borgarfjordur area in Iceland.
