Um alþjóðasamstarfið

The Icelandic School of Business is a leader in international cooperation between educational institutions in Iceland. The work aims to enable students to participate in collaborative projects with schools across Europe through international education programs such as Erasmus+, Nordplus junior, e-twinning and EEA Grants. The school received certification as an Erasmus+ school in the spring of 2021, which confirms its strong position, and is also a certified e-twinning school. Projects within these programs are important in the international society we live in, because they increase students’ cultural awareness, help them understand and respect different societies and strengthen their citizenship. The school has also collaborated with schools abroad, within Europe and in the United States outside of specific programs.

Furthermore, within the Erasmus+ and Nordplus programs, grants are being applied for for teachers and staff to attend courses and go on school visits with the aim of working on further education and professional development.

Finally, it should be mentioned that field trips abroad have been a regular part of the teaching of elective courses at the school for years.

Hallur Örn Jónsson is the project manager for international relations.
