Successful completion of the courses Spanish 1, 2 and 3 or equivalent or instructor approval upon completion of a placement test.
In this course, students are expected to further their knowledge gained in the courses Spanish 1, 2 and 3. The course is designed to allow students to use and add to their knowledge acquired in earlier courses. In this course, the main focus will be on oral expression as well as improving listening, reading and writing skills. New themes are introduced and students will continue to work on task-based projects based of their interest. Students will continue to work on aspects of traditions and cultures of the Spanish Speaking countries as well as topics that relate to their everyday lives, interests, and surroundings. The course level is at B1 according to The Common European Framework of References for Languages.
The objectives of the course are to continue to develop grammatical skills learned in the courses Spanish 1-3, and further develop and refine language fluency as well as successfully operate technology applicable to classroom activities.
